Delicious Roselle Leaf Stir-fry
Instructions
- Before frying, first boil water until it is bubbling.
- Once the water is boiling, add the roselle leaves and boil them first. When the roselle leaves are wilted and soft, drain the water and set them aside to dry.
- Then, place a pan on the stove. Put the drained roselle leaves into the pan and stir until the water evaporates. Also, add the bamboo shoots and stir them together.
- Stir intermittently at first. As the water is about to evaporate, stir continuously and vigorously (to prevent it from sticking to the pan). Once dry, you can set it aside.
- Next, heat a clean pot/pan. When the pan is hot, add the oil.
- When the oil is hot, add the pounded chili powder, garlic, shallots, and dried prawns, and stir-fry.
- While stir-frying, add the chili flakes. Mix the fermented shrimp paste with water and add it, stirring well.
- When the oil separates, add the dried roselle leaves and bamboo shoots, and stir-fry. Add the green chilies, salt, MSG (or) sugar, and stir well to mix everything, then fry.
